In KS2 French lessons this term, pupils have enjoyed learning about the “Le monde du travail” (The world of work).
Focusing on people in society who help
us, pupils have learnt how to name various jobs (in both the masculine and
feminine forms) and places of work in French.
They were introduced to the verb travailler
(to work) have learnt how to ask and answer questions about what jobs other
people do, where they work and express opinions about this. They were surprised to learn that “a” is omitted
before the name of a profession in the French language.
The pupils concluded this topic by
expressing their own future career aspirations in both written form and orally
to the rest of the class! They made
great progress throughout this topic and have produced some impressive
sentences!
Et
toi? Que veux-tu ĂȘtre quand tu seras
grand?
(And you? What do you want to be when you grow up?)
Bravo les enfants!
